Itinerary for Mount Tambora Trekking Package Via Doro NCanga
Day 1: Sumbawa Besar Airport – Doropeti Village, Dompu
11.00 You will be picked up at Sumbawa Besar Airport.
12.00 Continued journey to Doropeti Village. Lunch will be at a restaurant found along the way.
18.00 Arrive at Doropeti Village, register at the National Park, then check into homestay.
19.00 Dinner around Doropeti Village and briefing for the trek preparation.
Day 2: Climbing Mount Tambora (B, L & D)
06.00 Morning call, breakfast, and preparation for the climb.
07.00 Start climbing towards the forest gate.
08.00 Arrive at Post 1, short break, then continue to Post 2 and Post 3.
12.00 Arrive at Post 3, rest and have lunch.
13.00 Continue the journey towards Post 4 and Post 5.
16.00 Arrive at Post 5, set up tents, free time, and rest.
17.00 Dinner with a briefing for the summit preparation, then rest.
Day 3: Climbing to the Summit of Mount Tambora (B, L & D)
02.00 Morning call and preparation for the climb to the summit of Mount Tambora.
02.30 Start climbing towards the summit.
05.30 Arrive at the summit, enjoy the beauty of nature and sunrise.
06.30 Descend back to Post 5, short break, pack belongings, and have breakfast.
08.00 Descend to Post 3.
11.00 Arrive at Post 3, rest and enjoy lunch.
16.00 Arrive at Post 1, pack tents, rest, and free time.
19.00 Dinner
Day 4: Return to Sumbawa Besar City (B, L & D)
06.00 Wake up and prepare to descend to Pancasila Village.
08.00 After breakfast, continue the journey to Pancasila Village.
11.00 Arrive at Pancasila Village, rest, clean up, and have lunch.
13.00 Continue the journey back to Sumbawa Besar City.
19.00 Arrive at Sumbawa Besar City, dinner, and you will be taken to your accommodation in the vicinity of Sumbawa Besar City. Program ends.
The above itinerary is flexible, adapting to the conditions on the spot.
In some of our previous programs, there have been climbers who were not able to continue to the peak, so it is highly recommended to warm up before starting the climb at least 7 days before (jogging and going up and down stairs)
It is not advisable to participate in the Tambora trekking program for participants who have respiratory problems, coronary heart disease, epilepsy, high blood pressure, indications of vertigo, and other serious illnesses.

Important Notes!
In every Tambora Trekking Program Via Doro Ncanga, here are some important information that you need to know.
- The number of guides used will be adjusted according to the number of participants with the following details:
- Participants 1 – 5 people use 1 guide
- Participants 6 – 10 people use 2 guides (one in front and one behind the participants)
- The number of porters used will adjust according to the number of participants with the following details:
- 1 participant will be accompanied by 1 porter
- 2 – 4 participants will be accompanied by 2 porters
- 5 – 6 participants will be accompanied by 3 porters
- 7 – 8 participants will be accompanied by 4 porters
- 9 – 10 participants will be accompanied by 5 porters
Participant Equipments must bring
- Personal daypack/small bag to carry your essential needs
- Sleeping bag
- Personal clothing + spare; warm clothes (sweaters, etc.) & long pants (as needed)
- Camera
- Toiletries & prayer equipment
- Headlamp/flashlight
- Trekking shoes & sandals (sturdy shoes and not too narrow)

- This Sumbawa Tour package is PRIVATE and will not be shared with other
- Children 5 years old and under at the same time of tour are free of charge
- All minors must be accompanied by parents/guardians at all time.
- Payment of a 40% deposit is required to secure a package reservation
- Flexible tour dates are available upon request
- Once you decide to book the trip please provide us with details of your feet For snorkeling and swimming fins
- The remaining payment can be transferred/cash when you meet our guide
Cancelation Policy
- Cancellation up to 3 days before the event: a 25% cancellation fee will apply, based on the total booking price.
- Cancellation 1 or 2 day before or on the day of the event: The deposit is non-refundable,
- No-show on the day of the event: Regardless of prior cancellation, the payment is non-refundable.
- Force majeure (e.g., bad weather, natural disasters, war): The guide reserves the right to cancel or modify the schedule/itinerary for the safety of participants and crew. Any changes or cancellations due to force majeure are non-refundable

We provide all the equipment you need (snorkel, mask and fins), but feel free to bring your own. We also suggest bringing ear plugs to reduce of the loud sound of the local boat’s engine that will be used to go to the Whale Shark point
