Sumbawa Whale Shark Tour Itinerary
Day 1 - Embracing the Wonders of Moyo Island (L & D)
- 11.00 AM – Pick up and greet assist Sultan Kaharuddin Airport, Sumbawa Besar. Our team will escort you to Goa Harbor or Badas Harbor, the starting point of your journey for the tour packages in sumbawa.
- 11.30 – 14.30 PM : From the harbor, (While sailing, Optional to enjoy a delicious lunch served on the boat, first or after the program) the boat will take you to Moyo Island, with the first stop at Takat Sagele/Raja sua snorkling spot. Dive into the breathtaking underwater panorama through snorkeling, a memorable experience for underwater enthusiasts.
- 14.30 – 16.00 PM : After exploring Takat Sagele, the journey continues to Labuan Aji Village. While sailing, enjoy a delicious lunch served on the boat, accompanied by refreshing sea breezes and tropical views, prepare for a thrilling motorbike taxi / soft adventure through tropical forests to Mata Jitu Waterfall, one of Moyo Island’s natural icons. A short soft trekking session will then lead you to this mesmerizing waterfall.
- At Mata Jitu Waterfall, take a moment to relax in the soothing green/turquoise river, surrounded by the calming sounds of cascading water and lush natural scenery.
- 16.00 – 18.00 PM : Time return to Labuan Aji Village for a delightful dinner served on the boat. Tonight, the boat will sail towards Saleh Bay, the home of Whale Sharks in Sumbawa, offering a peaceful overnight stay on the waters.
Day 2 - Saleh Bay Sunrise and Encounter Sumbawa Whale Shark ( B & L )
- 06.00 – Start your day on the boat by witnessing a stunning sunrise at Saleh Bay. From here, the journey continues towards the Whale Shark Point, offering a unique experience that can only be found in the waters of Saleh Bay.
- 07.00 – 09.00 : Swimming with Whale Sharks in Sumbawa: Feel the extraordinary thrill of swimming alongside the gentle giants, the Whale Sharks. This unforgettable moment is one of the most unique experiences that you will cherish for a lifetime.
- 09.00 – 12.00 PM : After the magical encounter with the Whale Sharks, the boat will set sail to Gili Dangar Ode. On the way, enjoy a freshly prepared breakfast served onboard. Upon arrival, take time to explore the vibrant underwater life through snorkeling in the crystal-clear waters, home to thriving coral reefs and tropical fish.
- 12.00 – 16.00 PM : Return to Sumbawa Besar: After a fulfilling day, the boat will return to Goa Harbor. As the journey concludes, our team will transfer you back to your hotel in Sumbawa Besar.
Day 3 - Transfer Out & Farewell ( B )
- 08.30 – 09.00 : after your breakfast at the hotel, our team come and pick you and transfer you to the air port of Sumbawa Besar, before airport make a lil stop to visit sumbawa icon a sultenese palace “Dalam Loka” for 20 mins.
- 09.30 – 10.00 : Depart to Airport, farewell and program finish, end of service.

- Sumbawa Adventour package is PRIVATE and will not be shared with other, the tour price will follow total participant.
- Children 5 years old and under at the same time of tour are free of charge
- All minors must be accompanied by parents/guardians at all time.
- Payment of a 40% deposit is required to secure a package reservation
- Flexible tour dates are available upon request
- Once you decide to book the trip please provide us with details of your feet For snorkeling and swimming fins
- The rest payment balance can be transferred/cash when you meet our guide on first Day before on the boat
Cancelation
- Cancellation up to 3 days before the event: a 25% cancellation fee will apply, based on the total booking price.
- Cancellation 3 day before or on the day of the event: The deposit is non-refundable,
- No-show on the day of the event: Regardless of prior cancellation, the payment is non-refundable.
- Force majeure (e.g., bad weather, natural disasters, war): The guide reserves the right to cancel or modify the schedule/itinerary for the safety of participants and crew. Any changes or cancellations due to force majeure are non-refundable
Whale Shark Excursion FAQ'S
- These sumbawa whale shark roam the ocean in search of food all the year in sumbawa saleh bay, they gather around floating fishing platforms. These platforms use strong lights that attract plankton and fish – the perfect breakfast for whale sharks!
- Forbidden to touch heir skin is covered in a sensitive mucus membrane that should not be touched, can harm the whale shark and disrupt their natural behavior
- We provide all the equipment you need (snorkel, mask and fins), but feel free to bring your own. We also suggest bringing ear plugs to reduce of the loud sound of the local boat’s engine that will be used to go to the Whale Shark point
- As much we cannot control Mother Nature. Sea conditions on the day may impact water visibility or other factors beyond our control. Therefore, we cannot offer any guarantees or refunds regarding sightings.
